Andrew Terry MBA, DMS

Managing Director

Andrew has held a series of pivotal operational leadership roles within the military and in industry. In 1998 Andrew set up Linac Limited and has been the prime driving force and visionary behind Linac’s success.  A results driven individual, Andrew believes that what gets measured gets done and delights in helping and witnessing organisations deliver and exceed their expectations and goals.  Andrew is renowned for his strategic leadership and change management experience and brings to both Linac and its clients significant experience and energy to fuel the change process.

 


Jill Morrow BA (Hons) Psychology

Head of Executive Services

Jill Morrow specialises in leadership and management development, talent management and executive coaching. With over 12 years experience of working at organisation, team and individual levels. Jill has worked with senior executives within a number of large organisations in telecommunications, NHS and the legal sector.  Jill also has an MSc in Occupational Psychology from Queens University, is an NLP Master Practitioner and is a Founder Member of the Special Group in Coaching Psychology with the British Psychological Society. Jill also works with Henley Management College as a co-tutor on the Coaching Certification Programme, coaching on the Leadership Programme and is a Visiting Client Director.


Andrew Gissing MBA, DMS

Learning & Development Director

Andrew has worked in training and development for the past 15 years. His background is in leadership, management and organisational change. Andrew completed his MBA in 2002 and continues to study the areas of leadership and organisational change. Since leaving Hewlett Packard Andrew has worked extensively for Linac Limited delivering and project managing some of Linac’s largest corporate programmes. Whilst Andrew is renowned for his leadership and management development expertise he also specialises in Training ROI and Evaluation.


Kevin Parker- BSc Economics

Training Consultant / Coach

Kevin has a wide experience in working successfully at the highest levels in public and private sectors in the areas of strategy, leadership development, change management, performance, and executive coaching, and has been listed in the ‘Who’s Who of Britain’s Business Elite’. He has a BSc in Economics from Bristol University and qualified Executive Coach and NLP practitioner.

He has visited a wide range of world-class companies in Japan, the USA and Europe to study best practice and is joint author of many articles on change management. He is currently working on his latest book ‘Powerful Questions For Coaches And Leaders.’

Prior to his consulting career he also held a number of executive and non-executive appointments in manufacturing and professional service industries.  


Kirsty Smith BSc (Hons) Food Manufacture

Financial Director

Kirsty is one of the co-founders of Linac and prior to moving into the role of Financial Director she specialised in organisational change and performance improvement consultancy for Linac's manufacturing client base. Kirsty has over 15 years experience of working at organisation, team and individual levels working with organisations such as Coca Cola, Unilever and Diageo. Kirsty also has a Diploma in Food Health & Hygiene and a Diploma in Health & Safety.

 


Jonathan Logue BA (Hons) Psychology

Training Manager Ireland

Jonathan is based in Ireland and supports Linac’s strategic Irish clients.  A member of the CIPD, Jonathan holds an Honours degree in Psychology, is qualified to administer psychometric assessments (BPS Levels A and B), and over the past twelve years has worked in both Ireland and the UK providing highly impactful, pragmatic and results based interventions to over 40 client organisations in the public, semi-public, health and private sectors.  Having worked with Linac as a client over the past number of years, he is now delighted to be working with us growing our presence in the Irish market and developing high quality interventions to support our clients’ strategic objectives. Jonathan is passionate about ROI from Training and has firsthand experience of Linac’s ROI methodology as a past client.


Irene Walters - BSc (Hons) / MInstLM

Training Consultant / Coach 

With nearly two decades of successful business experience within blue chip global companies such as Unilever and Avon Cosmetics, Irene has broad knowledge and experience in the areas of business and career coaching, training design and delivery, performance, career and talent management, recruitment, assessment and communication. She is highly committed, positive and motivational with a real passion for developing people. She acts as a catalyst to help individuals realise their full potential, overcome their challenges and fulfil their goals. Irene has achieved a degree in applied chemistry and spent the early part of her career as a Research and Development Chemist with a leading pharmaceutical company. This was followed by a career change where she entered the business world, going on to obtain a diploma in business coaching. She is also a trained mediator, an accredited Myers Briggs and DiSC assessor and a member of the CIPD and the Institute of Leadership and Management.


Catherine Ware MBA, ILTM

Coach

Catherine has held senior positions in buying and marketing within the retail sector for many years, most recently for Safeway.  She has managed and developed teams in effective supply partnerships and in delivering the best customer formats. She is also a qualified university lecturer specializing in Business Education.

 

As a coach, she believes that when individuals are willing to explore new ways of working, genuinely reflecting on their experiences and are prepared to commit to the coaching experience by being open and honest, the possibilities for improved performance at personal and organisational levels is significant. She works as a member of the coaching team at Henley Management College and is involved in delivering the Advanced Management Programme (AMP).


Lois Grant

Training Consultant / Coach  

Lois is an experienced trainer, coach and facilitator and her key interest and strength lies in the development of communication skills, relationship-building and personal effectiveness.  She has successfully designed and delivered leadership and performance improvement solutions for multi-national companies in a variety of sectors, and was previously a Training Manager for TUI UK. 

Accelerated learning methods underpin her design and delivery and her development solutions are creative and flexible.  Lois has a passion for helping people to maximise their potential and her enthusiasm and commitment lead to a fun-filled and focused learning environment. 

She is a member of the CIPD, MBTI and DiSC accredited, an NLP Master Practitioner and is a certified trainer of NLP and Advanced Neurological Re-patterning. 


Ann Marie - MEd FCIPD

Learning Consultant & Executive Coach

Ann Marie has 20 years commercial and human resources experience in the financial and professional services sectors. Her in-house career focused on the recruitment, development and retention of talent in challenging and changing business environments. 

She specialises in coaching business leaders, professionals and those individuals going through promotion or career change.  She is also a member of the visiting faculty of Henley Management College where she coaches on leadership and career development programmes. In addition to a Masters Degree in Education, Training and Development (MEd, Distinction), Ann Marie holds a Certificate in Coaching from Henley Management College (Distinction) and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD).

She is licensed by the British Psychology Society to use a range of psychometric instruments for selection and development purposes (including MBTI® and 16PF®).


Alan Bartlett DMS, CMS

Training Consultant / Coach

Alan is a seasoned training professional having developed his training, coaching and facilitation skills during his industrial career. His career progressed from engineering to management and then onto a series of key leadership roles. He left industry in 1995 to focus purely on training and coaching. Alan has worked for Linac since 2002. Alan is a highly energetic and enthusiastic individual who firmly believes that you get out of life what you put in. Alan prides himself on being extremely agile and able to train and coach at all levels regardless of culture and experience. Alan holds the CIPD Certificate in Training Practice.


Louise Engleman

 

Louise is an experienced training and HR consultant and specialises in people and talent development. She has a track record of achievement across a range of roles, sectors and organisational cultures, with proven skills in aligning HRM/D with business strategy.  A naturally strong communicator and people person, Louise combines vision and pragmatism with commercial acumen to produce consistently high results on all training programmes.


Chris Ashwell

Training Consultant

A highly motivated training consultant, with a record of accomplishment of continued success throughout a people focussed career, in both training and management.  Chris possesses a high level of achievement in the design and delivery of leadership, management development and sales training programmes across various diverse sectors. She has been instrumental in delivering development programmes for companies such as 3663, Severn Trent Water and MSB International Plc.

Chris O'Brien MSc in Training

As well as an MSc in Training Chris holds the CIPD Certificate in Training, is MBTI Certified and FIRO-B Certified. Chris works with clients to create Learning and Career Development Strategies and solutions. He combines his expertise in learning and development with performance consulting and coaching which, through a systematic approach to strategy development, enables Clients to shape business focused, performance improving people development interventions.   His style is collaborative, engaging and honest.  He has an international track-record in leading and transforming training teams as well as delivering in the core strategic areas of organisational effectiveness, high performance workplace learning, achievement coaching, career and talent development.


James Hodgkinson  - BA (Hons) Psychology

Training Consultant / Coach

James in trained in NLP with a PG Diploma in Coaching Psychology, and is also qualified to administer MBTI’  James designs and delivers high impact solutions in the areas of coaching, change management, team building, communication and influencing skills, leadership and management development. James also designs and facilitates business planning and strategy processes. He has worked with a number of leading organisations including Unilever, South Eastern Trains,   Glaxo Smith Kline, Amgen Inc, Network Rail to mention a few.

 


Clive Cooper

Training Consultant

Clive is a highly experienced sales training and development specialist with exceptional standards in design and delivery. He has an energetic, pragmatic and professional, approach that inspires others to be the very best. Clive is a NLP master practitioner, excellent trainer, facilitator and coach of a wide range of subjects and audiences where his style is highly participative. As an award winning sales person, Clive can train and coach others from having had first hand experience in dealing with sales related issues. Clive has worked with organistaions such as Independant News, Lloyds TSB, British Telecom, Barclays, Sainsburys, BBC TV Licensing and Abbey National. He is a regular trainer at the IBM International Sales School and is the first choice trainer for P&O Cruises for face to face on board sales, telephone sales and cruise presentations skills.


John Druce - BSc Sports Studies

Training Consultant

John is an energetic trainer with a broad range of experience. He has designed and led a wide variety of leadership and management development programmes. He has an open and participative style of facilitation and takes a pragmatic approach with special focus on skills transferral. Most recently he has delivered a Core Leadership programme for Thames Valley Police and a number of team development initiatives for a range of clients including Deloitte, Masterfoods, 3663 and Honeywell. Previous to life as a trainer John was a Talent Manager for Whitbread plc where he led a project to design and deliver training to all 430 sites nationally to support new service standards.  John established Regional Talent and Succession plans resulting in increased internal progression and reducing external recruitment by 50%. John worked as an HR Manager for Endeva Services where he implemented a Leadership Development programme to facilitate the creation of one business culture following merger of Thorn and Granada.

 


Simon Horton - MA SE Asian Studies, BSc (Hons) Physics

Training Consultant / Coach

Simon is an executive coach and trainer and provides services in the following areas; management development, team building, leadership, communication skills, influence skills, sales, change management, personal development, NLP. Simon is also a NLP Master Practitioner, member of Coach Academy and a member of Association of Business Psychologists. Simon covers all phases of the training life-cycle: from needs analysis through design, delivery and project management to evaluation. Delivery may involve training, executive coaching or some combination of both. Simon has undertaken work with companies such as Lloyds of London, Accenture, Merrill Lynch, British Airways, Christies, Cancer Research UK and Nationwide Building Society.

 


Julian Chalinor

Actor / Role Player

Julian graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 1995, since then Julian has worked consistently as an Actor in Theatre and Television. Prior to training as an Actor he worked in Retail Management and administratively for a number of Government Departments. Julian has also worked for a number of years in the Training Industry, independently as a role-player and with Mark Delaney as a role-player provider for Activate Role-play and more recently their joint venture ProActive Roleplay.  ProActive has been successful in providing a large number of high profile clients with experienced, high quality actor/role-players.


Mark Delaney

Actor / Role Player

Since graduating from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 1993, Mark has enjoyed success as an actor across the Film, Theatre and Television Industry.  Mark has also worked extensively as a professional role-player for the past nine years in both the public and private sectors and has amassed a huge wealth of experience and knowledge of the Role-play Industry. In 2001, Mark became a Director of Activate Roleplay and, in 2004, joined forces with Julian Chaloner to form ProActive Roleplay, a company seeking to set new standards within the Industry.   

 


Helen Howard - ACMA

Training Consultant

Helen is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant with over 12 years experience. Her accountancy experience includes budgeting, forecasting, business planning, management accounts, costing, margins, financial evaluation tools, financial accounting, project management and more. Her training expertise focuses on training for non-financial managers from all aspects and levels of organisations in the key areas of finance that they need to understand to perform effectively and efficiently within their roles. Helen has significant experience in the design of tailored workshops to incorporate the financial processes and reports of the client organisation. She has worked in the following sectors: manufacturing, research and development, retail, IT service, distribution, financial services, pharmaceutical, distribution, publishing and higher education.

 


Chris Gardener ACA – ICAEW, BSc Maths

Training Consultant

Chris is a qualified chartered accountant with 15 years commercial and international management experience. He has led finance functions in various organisations (including sales management, logistics & distribution, publishing and marketing). He has worked across Europe as business mentor and coach within an international group of companies, supporting senior managers to build – and implement – their business strategy and plans. Chris is a commercial coach & mentor – supporting the design, integration and implementation of business plans (working one-to-one with managers and facilitating workshops and business teams). Chris also delivers training in commercial skills, finance, management development, sales development, and inter-personal skills.


Hilary Baker - FCA

Training Consultant

Hilary has been designing and delivering training for 15 years, primarily focused on business finance and interpersonal skills training. Hilary spent 5 years working within the national training group of BDO Binder Hamlyn and 5 years with Arthur Andersen; two of the largest international professional accountancy firms. Throughout his career Hilary has delivered numerous finance workshops, from the basic financial awareness level through to investment appraisal techniques for commercial managers who make large capital investment decisions. He has also delivered training in the areas of presentations skills, public speaking, effective communication, negotiation skills for lawyers, CRM, coaching, delegation, project management, business writing, effective meetings, facilitation skills, stress management, finance for non-financial managers and business planning and budgeting. Hilary is also a business coach to managers within two City of London investment banks.
